Project setup for the design delivery on a new 465,000 SF addition for Stony Brook University Medical Center's new Medical and Research Translation (MART) building and New Beds Support Tower on Long Island, New York.

Team

The 150 bed wing is to house the universities center for advance medical imaging and cancer care. The project also encompasses a children's hospital, heart center, a neuro and surgical ICU's.

Project Setup

Project setup and logistics before the architectural production team work. The effort included resolving work coordination between New York and DC. To achieve this the team made several site visits to project designer Pelli Clarke Pelli in Connecticut and the medical equipment team in New York.

Stony Brook BIM Plan

After contract review and development of the production plan, we met with the various teams
to train them on model delivery.
